The Artist's Backstory with Linda Wesner: A Video Series
I am intrigued by the slow, subtle impact of nature on the landscape. I also feel an urgency to capture images that are rapidly disappearing to suburban development. In my colored pencil drawings, I work slowly, building detailed layers of soft, glowing color for a highly rendered work. In my bolder oil paintings, I work quickly, brushing paint spontaneously for a looser effect. I invite the viewer to contemplate my impressions of forgotten paths, old agricultural and commercial buildings, and sunlit natural forms.
